wondering if I shouldn’t just put up PSA flyers all around campus saying why rape jokes aren’t funny. because I’m sick of overhearing something from halfway across a room and then standing there paralysed by indecision while I hand-wring over whether it would be appropriate for me to barge in on…

If you want help putting up flyers, I’m in. I once heard someone tell a rape joke in front of a group of about ten girls. Of those ten, I knew that six were survivors. Of those six, he knew that four were survivors. This has to end.

If I did a lunch session on strategies for responding to the rape jokes, and then I put the strategies you create out to the campus, would y’all come?

Ooh, ooh, me! I’ll do it I’ll come!

I think that’s a really good point. I don’t really know how one would avoid triggering survivors with such a campaign....
